The assembly of The ‘MM3’, Music Machine 3, built by Reuge, for MB&F.
The main-plate as with the Sublime Harmony and all Reuge mechanisms is the starting point for the assembly. Its form has been machined to compliment the overall construction of the MM3. Two music boxes mirroring each other are placed on the external architecture.
The assembly linked to the air-brake which controls the speed the cylinder turns.
The winding crown, barrel & ratchet wheel, pivoting plate for the cylinder.

The mechanism is turned upside down to work on the on/off button.

The MM3, is an unusual combination of antique music boxes and modern design culture. Integrated into both a machine emitting instantly recognised classic melodies (which can be sampled below) and an original design never before executed with a music box.
